This week brings some exciting news for madeleine. as we have moved into a space at Fisherton Mill, a beautiful art gallery and cafe in Salisbury. We have a millinery feature wall which will be regularly updated with new pieces and appointments are available upon request. You can currently see a range of our piece upstairs in Fisherton Mill including the Lydia in Turquoise & Jade, shown below.

To celebrate this new collaboration we will be running a selection of workshops in Fisherton Mill throughout the upcoming Autumn/Winter starting with a 'Fascinator Making Workshop' on Monday 30th September 6 - 9pm as part of Salisbury Fashion Week.

During this three-hour workshop you will learn a selection of millinery techniques to create your own headpiece/fascinator using a pre-made base. All materials will be supplied with a variety  of colours for you to choose from. This workshop would normally cost £65pp, but we are delighted to offer supporters of Salisbury Fashion Week the chance to learn to make and keep their own headpiece/fascinator for just £49pp to include all materials with tea and cake.

There were tears of joy in the studio today - a Mother of the Groom came to pick up this bespoke 'Southern Belle' made to match her beautiful John Charles outfit.

Occasionally my clients will send me photos of themselves from their special occasion wearing their hat with their outfit - it is one of the highlights of my job. I love to see photographs of clients wearing the whole ensemble, enjoying their day and looking fantastic! Here are a few I have received recently.

NEWS// CREATIVE COLLABORATIVE PHOTOSHOOT

The results of a collaborative photoshoot undertaken in March 2013 - working with a fantastic team of creative people I coordinated and styled the shoot with new designs for SS14 and a few current SS13 designs. The models wore clothing and accessories from a variety of designers including Celine, Paris and the whole shoot was held at the beautiful Dairy House Antiques in Semley.

In March this year the Fashion Director at Cheltenham Fashion Week contacted me to use some of my pieces on models during the Cheltenham Festival. She also commissioned a piece for her to wear - I created a completely new felt A/W design for her. Here are a few images from the day.

CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL

Next week one of the highlights of the horse racing calendar, Cheltenham Festival gets into full swing. Cheltenham Festival is the jewel in the crown for horse racing; the best jockeys, horses and trainers alongside beautifully dressed ladies in stunning hats – there is nothing quite like the mixture of glamour and excitement of Cheltenham.

This year my hats & headpieces will be showcased on models at the Designer Preview and I am creating a bespoke design for the newly appointed Fashion Director – so do look out for them on Ladies Day!

Ladies Day is on the Wednesday 13th March so dress smart, dress warm and wear a hat if you fancy winning a Ladies Day Fashion Award & most of all enjoy yourself at one of the best horse racing events of the year! For more information on Cheltenham Races then please visit the website here.

Fun & dramatic the 'Cheltenham' is a true statement piece - a large mesh sinamay disc embellished with black & white pheasant feathers and porcupine quills. 'Strike the Gold' is an elegant disc style decorated with a hand stitched twist of coque feathers and ostrich quills embellished with Swarovski diamante.
